About us

Cirrus was developed in 2012 to handle complaints in line with new Scottish regulations. From there it has evolved into a fully-fledged case handling system, helping organisations across the UK.

Originally created for the busy housing sector, Cirrus is built to handle complaints from any industry. Just log in, record your complaints and use the in-built reporting to learn from them.

Cirrus is brought to you by Places for People, one of the UK's largest housing and property development organisations.

With more than 140,000 homes across the UK, we know all about managing complaints. And with Cirrus we are sharing our expertise. Cirrus is secure and reliable. We have the latest server technology at our state-of-the-art data centre, backed up by tried-and-tested safety procedures.

Jon has worked in IT for so long that he's stopped counting the years. In fact, Chesney Hawkes was number one in the hit parade when Jon joined Places for People. With his steady hand on the tiller, Jon is the experienced captain of the Good Ship Cirrus.

A keen golfer, Jon can be often seen treading the fairways in a pair of plus-fours. Not really, but the thought made us chuckle.

Joanne's impressive remit includes operational, management and executive reporting. She's happiest with a calculator in one hand and a set of key performance indicators in the other. Known affectionately as 'The Oracle', Joanne juggles data just for fun.

Out of the office, Joanne loves sun drenched holidays, cycling and Take That – standard pleasure pursuits for all Guardians of Stored Things.

Karl has the enviable honour of being a human intersection between business, technology and user experience. He's been in the industry for more than 18 years, and is an insufferable web evangelist. His vision gives Cirrus its flavour: blueberry, gummy bears and snuggles. Sounds weird? That's the internet for you.

Karl is a self-proclaimed geek and theatre goer. He can be perennially spotted at the Edinburgh Fringe, iPad under arm. Karl loves dogs and collects shih tzus as they are 'essentially tiny ewoks'.

James translates customer requirements from English into the Web Monkeys' strange native tongue. In the name of testing, he enjoys spending his days picking fault and trying to break Cirrus. When he's not busy endearing his self to the rest of the team, James can be spotted at conferences and events having a good chin-wag about all things complaint related.

Proudly the 331st best pool player in Preston, James holds lofty ambitions of making the top 330. It's taken him 10 years to get to this level though. Maybe dominoes is more his game.

You could describe Cheryl as a keen foodie who loves to cook. She washes her food down with exotic cocktails and rock climbs to burn off the excess calories.

The new kid on the Cirrus block, Neil is truly passionate about the web. He loves soaking up skills and having a good old play with the internet's numerous scripting languages.

When he's not up to his neck in code, Neil enjoys writing detective fiction and watching crime thrillers on TV. He sees himself as the team's Magnum P.I. only without the Ferrari or the Hawaiian hideaway. Also, he's hardly Tom Selleck in the moustache department.

Scotland; Spain; England – having lived in so many countries we’re starting to suspect Tom’s either on the run from Interpol, or he’s an international spy. What’s less of a mystery of course, are the impressive set of coding-languages he’s picked up developing web sites for much of the past two decades. He might not be able to translate that menu in Alicante, but he’ll certainly be able to design and build it on-line for you.

Away from the digital universe, Tom enjoys tinkering with his beloved rally car, martial arts films, and studying law. All of which make escaping from Interpol a lot easier, we suppose…

The youngest member of the Cirrus family, Morgan attacks web development with a bright eyed and bushy tailed enthusiasm. He is determined to mature into full web-simian status in as little time as possible.

When not learning the new and strange languages of internet development, Morgan enjoys Italian opera and the delicate pursuit of flower pressing. Just kidding, this guy's a millennial! He’s infinitely more likely to be found bumping to West Coast gangsta rap while blasting away on a video game. Welcome to the jungle!
